This is finally, well hopefully, going to be a home for me to start writing. I have been a developer longer than I am willing to admit on this first post and I have always struggled at writing because I felt that the epic multi-thousand word blog posts were not in my wheel house. The digital garden format is definitely a more comfortable space for me to write.
The term seemed familiar to me but the first time that it clicked for me was when I heard it from David Poindexter, aka RobertTables, a streamer on twitch. Then immediately soon after, or maybe it was around the same time, it reaffirmed when I saw Chris Bascardi host a round, er square, table about digital gardens (and other topics). Writing quick posts, whether complete or not, in the public was the thing for me.
In future posts I expect to write about my current tasks and technical issues I find along the way. I will first write about my integrations of my eleventy blog with tailwind css. Then I might touch on some recent explorations like react native and gradle builds.
I appreciate Joel Hooks, Chris Bascardi, and lil Bobby Tables for their inspiration to get started. And let me also shout-out the Party Corgi discord community. Although I only recently joined and I am a fairly quiet member, the conversations, encouragement and progress that each and every one of you is doing is truly truly inspiring. Thanks!
